STALKING A KILLER

STALKING A KILLER

Mila Santerre struggles to raise her family after her husband was killed in the 2010 Haitian earthquake. If that isn't enough, she has a positive test for the HPV virus. As she waits for the results of a biopsy she fears the worst. Marie Antionette Axime was facing death from cervical cancer before a donor helped her get to the Dominican Republic for treatment. Now in remission, she wishes similar treatment was available in Haiti for poor women. Cervical Cancer is the leading cause of cancer death in Haiti, yet it is easily preventable with early detection. This film tells the story of two women and their experience with the illness. This film was commissioned by Family Health Ministries, which operates clinics to screen and treat Haitian women for cervical cancer.
